What a car crash looks like at a 120mph impact.

"Fastest crash test in the world"

Ahem.. Mythbusters would like a word.

Kinja'd!!!

(I guess technically it's not a crash test because the car isn't moving but still)

neat footage, buts its a garbage test because when the hell are you going to hit a fully non-deformable barrier head on? never.

"I know it's not real, but it's still mighty haunting"

So is that guys chin-beard thing... You get a terrifying angle of it right after that quote.

I was thinking the same thing. I guess the closest would be veering into an overpass support pillar, and even then they tend to be protected by guard rails that will slow you down.

Terrifying nonetheless. I would have liked a high-speed camera on the inside, but i guess they didn't want to pay for a new one...

And this is what it looks like at 500 mph.

Tell me that the next time you find an 18 wheeler against the traffic, in your lane... you must be SO young...

um, 18 wheelers are not-deformable? Thats new. Also, Physics. yes the mass in in favor of the semi, but it will absorb the energy of the passenger car as required by Newtonian physics, also, you would have to hit it perfectly in line and not at even the slightest angle. You must be SO condescendingly lacking in a basic understanding of physics.....

If you do, it'll only be once.

18 wheelers not deformable? ...try to hit one head on, you dumbo.

You're right! I forgot they are made from the heart of a dying star and therefor are totally impervious to deformity.

Don't be an ass, or if you insist at least be an informed ass.

I can't help but think that if the driver mannequin's eyes had been facing forward, rather than up, that none of this would have happened.

Either side of this typical overpass is pretty much non-deformable, and they're no more than ten feet off the edge of the asphalt. Now consider the video in this article.
